This cel depicts the classic tale of the tortoise and the hare. As full-bellied Bugs Bunny takes a snooze, Cecil the Turtle tries to tip toe past him. Little does the Tortoise know he is being watched. This hand-painted, hand-inked cel with lithograph background is taken from an original Robert McKimson sketch, which appeared in Capitol Records' book, "Bugs Bunny in Story Land." Original release 1949. Robert McKimson was a directing animator at Warner Bros. and created some of the world's most popular characters, including the Tasmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, Speedy Gonzales and Sylvester Jr. Each cel bears the official Warner Bros. seal and includes a certificate of authenticity.
