"I Swears By Me Spinach" is taken from an original sketch by Myron Waldman. Myron Waldman is considered by many to be one of the co-creators of Popeye. He was a directing animator at the famous Fleischer Studios. Waldman is renowned for his work on some of the best Popeye, Superman, Betty Boop and Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoons. Each cel is beautifully hand-painted and hand-inked on acetate and comes mounted against a colorful lithograph background.
