The orange edges are 5" wide on the top and 7" wide on the bottom front of the plate and are a visual target for the pitcher.ÊThe 5" orange edges and white part of the plate cover 2.5" ofÊa traditional homeÊplate and 2.5" off ofÊa traditional homeÊplate.ÊPoint to point of the white part of the plate measures 17"- the size of a regulation home plate. The back part of the plate helps position the catcher.ÊThe catcher centers his or herÊbody on the point of the white part of the plate, giving the pitcher the ultimate target to throw to on either corner of the plate.ÊThis training tool is also perfect for fast pitch players. Scuff and stain resistant, high gloss finish with antistatic properties to repel attraction of airborne particles. May be used as a throw down plate or staked down for permanent placement.ÊInstructions to stake down the plate are included. Stakes not included.
