This jersey is made of polyester and has "Phila" sewn in bright red and blue tackle-twill letters. Th eplayer's number is sewn on the front and back in bright red/blue twill. Led by Wilt, the Sixers posted a 68-13 regular season record, not to be surpassed until Wilt did it again in 1972 with the Lakers (69-13). Chamberlain's dominance in 1967 brought the World Championship to Philadelphia. His supporting cast included Hall of Famers Billy Cunnungham and Hal Greer. This team is to this day considered one of the NBA's best ever. In the spring of 1963, Irv Kosloff and Ike Richman purchased the Syracuse Nationals. The team was renamed the 76ers and Dolph Schayes became the first coach for the 1963-64 season. On January 15, 1965, the club acquired Wilt Chamberlain from the San Francisco Warriors for three players and cash. The Sixers began to make history! By July of 1968, the Sixers had won an NBA championship(1966-67) and traded Wilt to the Lakers for three player and no cash!
