This video features Rick Paine, former University of Nebraska Associate Head Coach, Head Coach in USA Swimming for more than 25 years, Head Coach for the Austrian 2000 Olympic Team.

Coach Paine starts out by discussing proper training for the IM and stresses the need to use different muscle groups and fatigue them in the proper order as his athletes demonstrate using the different strokes. Several dryland exercises using a balance ball and a balance board are shown to help increase a swimmer's balance and core body strength. Also included in this comprehensive video is Coach Paine's chalk talk regarding race strategy, terminology of energy systems used, and daily/weekly practice routines. This video is an excellent coaching tool that will show coaches how to develop an IM Mentality on your team!
