The Akadema Pro Select Bat starts its journey in the heart of the Catskill Mountains in New York State. The Catskill Woods is the best forest for the hardest, healthiness, straightest Northern Ash. Lumberjacks from the region select each split of ash. The wood is then sent to a mill where it is again inspected, turned into billet, dried to Akadema's specifications. The wood is then sent to our wood shop and again inspected by Amish craftsman. The "good wood" that makes the Pro Select Bat is placed in a moisture and climatecontrolled vault until it s ready to be made. After the bat has been made our staff of former and activeprofessional players once more inspect the bat.
