1994 Kansas City Chiefs Dark Throwback Jersey from Mitchell and Ness, With #32 and 'ALLEN' On the Jersey (Marcus Allen)
The American Football League was established in 1960 as a rival to the well established NFL. In 1963, the AFL champion Dallas Texans relocated to Kansas City and became the Chiefs. In 1994, the NFL marked its 75th year of existence. The establishment of the AFL also celebrated a milestone as it marked its 35th year of existence. The Kansas City Chiefs helped celebrate the history of both the NFL and AFL by wearing embroidered tackle twill patched commemorating the milestones of the leagues. The great Marcus Allen entered his second season with the Chiefs. Allen was coming off an All Pro year and continued to put up great offensive numbers as he led the Chiefs to a wild card birth. The Chiefs fell to the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 1994 playoffs.
