In another playoff, Rocco defeated Steve Elkington on the 76th hole at the 1993 Kmart Greater Greensboro Open for his second TOUR win. He returned from back surgery in 1996 to tie for fourth at THE PLAYERS Championship, making birdies on each of the last six holes, the first player to do so at the TPC at Sawgrass.

In 1999, Rocco edged out Justin Leonard by two strokes at the Phoenix Open to earn the third PGA TOUR victory of his career. In 2000, he won the Buick Open capturing his fourth title by birdieing the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Chris Perry.
