Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a match between Byron Nelson and Gerry de Wit, played at Haagsche Golf Club, better known as "The Hague", in The Netherlands. Haagsche Golf Club is perched on the Dutch coastline and is reminiscent of British courses. Byron Nelson had 18 victories in a single year, including 11 in a row, in 1945, a record no one else has matched. In his career he had 52 PGA Tour victories including two Master titles, two PGA Championships and one U.S. Open. Gerry de Wit is perhaps the greatest golfer to ever come out of Holland. A frequent competitor in the British Open, de Wit won the Dutch Professional 14 times and represented The Netherlands in 10 world cups. 60 Minutes.
