Shell's Wonderful World of Golf was a weekly television series that aired from 1962 through 1970 and was the first golf matches ever filmed for a television series. This video is a golf match between Peter Alliss and Tony Lema, played at The Mid-Ocean Golf Club in Bermuda and was originally aired on January 14, 1967. Peter Alliss was an accomplished amateur golfer in England before making his way into the professional ranks. As a professional, he became known as one of the game's fiercest match players, appearing on 8 Ryder Cup Teams form 1953-1969. "Champagne" Tony Lema received his nickname after treating the media to the beverage upon capturing his first tournament. Lema burst onto the golf scene in 1957 and quickly established himself as a force on the PGA Tour. In his all-to-short career, he won 11 PGA Tour titles and the 1964 British Open. 60 Minutes.
